Вождь северных шайеннов [ Northern Cheyenne]. Возглавлял сопротивление вторжению США в долину р. Паудер [ Powder River] (1864-67), выстоял в сражении, названном его именем [ Dull Knife Fight]. Возглавил бегство соплеменников из Индейской территории [ Indian Territory] к родным землям на севере (см Cheyenne Autumn). Конец жизни провел в резервации Норзерн-Шайенн [ Northern Cheyenne Reservation]. Отряды пехоты, кавалерии и артиллерии под командованием генерала Крука [ Crook, George] напали на лагерь шайеннов [ Cheyenne] во главе с вождем Тупой Нож. Крук разыскивал индейцев оглала [ Oglala] под предводительством Неистового Коня [ Crazy Horse] для отмщения за разгром генерала Кастера в битве на р. Литл-Бигхорн [ Little Bighorn, Battle of the] и нападал на всех встречавшихся индейцев.
